译文：修炼身心，第一是要减少欲望，行事就要先做到恭敬俭约。赏析：欲望过多，烦恼越多。我们追求基本的物质生活是必须的，但不能为了名利就不择手段，甚至铤而走险。待人一定要恭敬谦虚，假如飞扬跋扈，不可一世，就会自取灭亡。
People are unreasonable，illogical and self-centered；Love them anyway.If you are kind，people may accuse you of selfish，ulterior motives；Be kind anyway.If you are successful，you will win some false friends and some true enemies；Succeed anyway.The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow；Do good anyway.If you are honest and frank，people may cheat you；Be honest and frank anyway.People favor under dogs but follow only topdogs.Fight for a few underdogs anyway.What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight；Build anyway.If you find serenity and happiness，they may be jealous；Be happy anyway.People really need help but may attack you if you do help them.Help people anyway.Give the world the best you have，And it may never be enough；Give the world the best you have anyway.You see，in the final analysis，it is between you and God；It is never between you and them anyway.
