保持心情愉悦，就是人生的一大智慧。看到的东西不那么养眼也觉得可饱眼福，听的音乐不怎么好听也觉得可以享受，只吃蔬菜就能满足口腹之欲，穿的、住的很粗糙也能满足身体的需要。人穷一时，但心不穷，真正的穷养富养或许不完全是物质方面的，即使物质生活条件差，只要保持积极乐观的心态，心情保持愉快，可以弥补物质上的不足。正如孔子赞扬颜回“一箪食，一瓢饮，回也不改其乐”。
