忠有愚忠，孝有愚孝，可知忠孝二字，不是怜俐人做得来；仁有假仁，义有假义，可知仁义两途，不无奸恶人藏其内。
译文：有一种忠心被人视为愚行，就是“愚忠”，也有一种孝行被人视为愚行，那是“愚孝”，由此可知，“忠”，“孝”两个字，太过聪明的人是做不来的。同样地，仁和义的行为中，也有虚伪的“假仁”和“假义”，由此可以知道，在一般人所说的仁义之士中，不见得没有奸险狡诈的人。
