用无为的态度，依照自然规律行事，叫作“天”；用无为的态度去说话，才是“德”；爱护他人，利益众生，就是“仁”；从不同事物中看到同一，就是“大”；行为不孤傲偏执，就是“宽”；能包容万般不同，就是“富”；所以执守道德规范叫作“纪”；自觉形成德行就是“立”；遵循道就是“备”；不因任何外部力量而挫伤自己的心志就是“完”：君子明白了这十个方面，就可以包容一切事物，就是心志伟大。
