The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.

Happiness is secured through virtue; it is a good attained by man's own will.

To me, fearless is not the absence of fear. It's not being completely unafraid. To me, fearless is having fears. Fearless is having doubts. Lots of them. To me, fearless is living in spite of those things, every single day.

所以1962年那天早上我告诉自己：让其他人都说你的想法疯狂吧……继续前进。不要停下来。甚至不要想停下来，直到你到达那里，也不要过多考虑“那里”是哪里。无论发生什么，都不要停下来。
