【原文】曾子有疾，召门弟子曰：“启予足！启予手!《诗》曰：‘战战兢兢，如临深渊，如履薄冰。’而今而后，吾知免夫！小子。”【译文】曾子得了重病，召集他的弟子们说：“(掀开被子)看看我的脚!看看我的手(有没有毁伤之处)！《诗经》中说：‘小心翼翼，就像站在深渊之旁，就像踩在薄冰之上。’从今以后，我知道(我的身体)再也不会受伤了。弟子们!”

Running a business requires patience, not short-term gains.

The teacher's task is not to implant facts but to place the subject to be learned in front of the learner and, through sympathy, emotion, imagination, and patience, to awaken in the learner the restless drive for answers and insights which enlarge the personal life.

美貌是所有理性男人都愿意掉入的陷阱。

效率（的重要性）被过度强调了，而放空（的重要性）则被严重低估了。定期的周日安息、职业年假、度假出游、工作日中的茶歇、漫无目的的散步和离开工作的时间，对一切领域获得顶级成就都极其重要。最好的工作，需要有良好的休息作为保障。
