The idea is to make something that looks like something else.
I want to make art that looks like it's always been there.
The first question I ask myself when something doesn't seem to be beautiful is why do I think it's not beautiful. And very shortly you discover that there is no reason.
A building should appear to grow easily from its site.
The real challenge is to make something complex appear simple.
The creative process is messy. That's why my sketches look the way they do.
Good design is about solving problems, not just making things look nice.

It's not the face, but the expressions on it. It's not the voice, but what you say. It's not how you look in that body, but the thing you do with it. You are beautiful.

Everyone has a secret world inside of them. All of the people of the world, I mean. Everybody. No matter how dull and boring they are on the outside, inside them they’ve all got unimaginable, magnificent, wonderful, stupid, amazing worlds. Not just one world. Hundreds of them. Thousands maybe.
I like stories where the boundaries between reality and fantasy are blurred. I like the idea that the world is not as simple as it seems.
And when you do I want you to know this， remember this: there is no such thing as failure. Failure is just life trying to move us in another direction. Now when you’re down there in the hole， it looks like failure. So this past year I had to spoon feed those words to myself.
