为善易，避为善之名难；不犯人易，犯而不校难。涉世应物，有以横逆加我者，譬犹行草莽中，荆棘之在衣，徐行缓解而已，所谓荆棘者，亦何心哉！如是则方寸不劳，而怨可释。
做善事容易，做了善事而逃避好名声就难了；不触犯他人容易，触犯了他人心里不计较就难了。为人处世，遇到有人对我蛮横无理，就要像走在灌木草丛中一样，荆棘挂住了衣服，只能缓慢前行小心地拨开荆棘就是了，荆棘也不是存心阻人啊！这样一来便能做到心中不劳累，而化解仇怨。
